Tuesday August 13. It was a long, rainy, day, today, with some serious climbs on wet rock. A bunch of us have stopped at a shelter. Some of us are tenting, some will stay in the shelter. Many of us know eachother. All of us, "Northbounders", are excited.....boyantly enthusiastic.....giddy. We each hiked into the state of Maine earlier today. We are going to make it. We are going to Katahdin! Everyone is laughing and talking.....everyone is happy.
We are Thru-hikers going to Katahdin!
